Relaxed and decelerated we are back from nature in front of Berlin.
On the beautiful grounds of the Wokule in Biesenthal our Country Event took place, the second event of our Stadt_Land_Fluss (city_country_river) series.
The day started with a herbal tour by the alchemists of Edible Alchemy. With over 40 participants we explored the forest and fields in search of edible and useful wild herbs. Look, feel, rub, smell and taste – Under the guidance of our two experts, numerous mosquito bites were immediately treated with the juice of crushed plantain leaves and the “very” small hunger was satisfied with fresh hop shoots. A lot was discovered on the smallest route!
Later, home-brewed lemonades could be sampled at the Edible Alchemy bacteria bar.
The event continued with Jayrope & Lippstueck aka Air Cushion Finish. In keeping with the theme of the evening deceleration and nature, you could lie on cozy mattresses with your eyes closed and listen to a wonderful mix of concert & reading.
With excerpts from the masterpiece of literary nature observation “The Peregrine” by John A. Baker, we were carried high above the trees.

The magical glittering birds and insects of the stilt performance Team la Supreme appeared again and again between the trees during the evening to tickle guests with their feathers and fascinate them with wonderful colorful costumes.
The finale under the treetops was the cozy lay-down cinema. The screen hung high up in the trees and visitors lounged on mattresses & deck chairs looking in the leaves above. International short films told about monkeys in the executive suite, why butterflies can be flying gold or how it sounds when voices of Madagascar are remixed.
For us, less was more and we dived deep into nature and the art of deceleration.
