Travelling cinema raft tour through Brandenburg with short film cinema, concerts and workshops at 6 waterfront locations
In August 2021, Moviemiento would like to show itself again with a varied cultural programme in the public space. We are working together with the Panther Ray collective. The collective has a self-built raft that travels the waters of Berlin’s inner city and serves as an open stage for art and culture and lived community. Together with Panther Ray, we are now returning to our beginnings and continue our now 18-year tradition of traveling cinema by taking the Panther Ray our across the water to special and sometimes unusual places
On this year’s tour, the film programme is all about „Alles im Fluss” (Everything flows). We invite musicians and artists to perform with us on the raft as a stage. Along the route through the east of Brandenburg, we bring our colourful cultural programme to towns and communities, opening up new perspectives to the local people in an entertaining way.
A meadow on the riverbank suddenly becomes a meeting place where strollers, friends, astonished people, people passing by by chance, fans and long-time residents meet, linger together, listen to music and turn the water into a stage. During the raft tour, we are planning six open-air cinema events with a musical supporting programme and artistic-creative participatory offers (workshops) in the run-up to the evening programme.
