Cinetrain

The international video workshop programme was for educators working in all fields of adult education. The participants, which included professors, high school equivalency teachers, and educators working in NGOs, prisons, mental institutions, museums, libraries, and cultural and social centres, learned the necessary knowledge and technical skills to use film and animation in their educational work. The idea being they would later pass these skills on to their students.
Within the course of two years, workshops took place in each of the four partner countries during study visits, with organisers and learners from all countries participating. Each country focused on different methods.

The Workshops

Train the Trainers

The workshop in Paris, in spring 2014, dealt with pocket films, mash-up video and web documentary. The following meeting took place in Istanbul, in autumn 2014, and the participants could choose between experimental filmmaking with found material and filmmaking in practice. In Barcelona, participants learned documentary filmmaking. For the last workshop session in spring 2015 in Berlin, creative and inspiring animation films were produced.
