Call for Entry „Bicycle Stories and Dreams“
What are you dreaming about on your bike? Where is your journey going? Do you discover slowness in the rush of happiness? Or do you dream of sustainable utopias beyond consumption? What does cycling do to you? Or which communities and life designs do you discover?
This year we are going to hit the road again with the bicycle cinema. It will lead us through the streets of Berlin and into other areas of Germany. In bicycle cinema, the audience pedals stationary bicycles to produce the power for the cinema.
We want to inspire people to dream with us. Therefore we are looking for short films that deal creatively with bicycle and all related topics from different perspectives. Short films that deal with topics such as sustainable travel versus stress, dreams and desires, collective making and creation, gender equality, community and happiness, sufficiency and nonsense around the bicycle.
Submit us your short film!
There is no deadline, as we continuously organise bicycle cinemas.

We are looking forward for new, exciting films!
For the short film screenings, all genres are welcome, from experimental, documentary, animation to fiction. Only shorts no longer than 15 min. will be taken into account. You can transmit your short film via a filesharing platform and by sending the link to: email@example.com. You can also send DVD copy by mail. The copy can not be sent back.
Our screening language varies. Depending on the crowd, we can sometimes only show films in German language or with German subtitles. Other times we can include films which we only have in English or with English subs. So if your short is in English language, German subtitles are not obligatory but very recommended. If your short is any other language than English or German, subtitles in either German or English are necessary, both would be great to have. If your film is in German language English subtitles would be great to have but not obligatory.
In addition to your short film copy, we require a completed and signed submission form, a short synopsis in English language and information about the filmmaker, cast, and crew.
