Benn Buch has once again put together a great late-summer program, featuring an outdoor movie screening and hands-on activities at Pankeplatz.
We’ll be providing the movie equipment and look forward to spending the day together in Buch!
Starting at 7 p.m., you can play soccer yourself with the @core_kollektiv during the goal-shooting contest—and win a soccer ball.
Or you can design your own jersey at the jersey booth based on one of the themes featured in the film.
8:00 p.m.: Movie screening of “Sieger sein” by director and writer Soleen Yusef.
The film explores themes of flight, exclusion, poverty, bullying, (inequality of) opportunity, and privilege. At the same time, it tells a story of solidarity, support, and discovering one’s own strengths—for example, through soccer.
Sherine Ciara Merai, who plays the role of Jasmin, will likely come to Pankeplatz before the film starts to talk with us about the movie.
Admission is free.
There will be drinks, popcorn, and snacks—all free of charge.
And there will be a surprise for children who are starting school that day.
Please bring something to sit on (a folding chair, a blanket) and, if you’d like, your own cup. And since it gets cold in the evening and there might be the occasional rain shower, it’s best to bring warm clothing, rain gear, and umbrellas. And if you’re a favorite target of mosquitoes, bring mosquito repellent as well.
The event will still take place even if there are rain showers or light rain.
