The video projection shows the monitor of an oscilloscope. It records the acoustic oscillations of passing vehicles - every sound has a related image. The visually represented impulses are caused by the passing cars’ noises. Astonishingly, these images, resulting from the vehicles’ sounds, look like cars themselves.
